The adcom matched me with an alumnus from my country and also from the same industry I work, so it helped me be a lot more comfortable in the interview. We set the location of the interview to be in his office, which was in the same city I live. As soon as I got there I felt very welcomed and an informal environment, much more like a conversation than an interview. We talked a lot before the interview starts since we had a lot in common, so a very good environment was set when we began.
He asked the classic questions like Why LBS, Why an MBA, why London, etc… I noticed he had access to my entire application basically. He also asked about some projects and challenges I had worked on. When time came for the case, I was super nervous, but I didn’t feel like he was choosing a case to complicate my life, he chose something very aligned with my work, still being so nervous I felt difficulty to prepare it. The case was that Meta was thinking about starting to charge users not to see advertising, and I was supposed to talk about pros and cons and defend my position. Even though it is very simple, with the time pressure of only 5 minutes, I got very nervous and don’t feel like I defended my answer in the best way.
