Interviewed on campus with a member of the adcom, and many other students interviewed with second-year students. Interview was conversational, but interviewer did have a list of questions to get through. Very behavioral in nature. I left the interview with positive feelings about SOM.
The Friday of on-campus programming was a great experience, and I highly recommend it if convenient for you (although SOM says they do not give preferential treatment to in-person vs. virtual interviews).
Questions were pretty standard behaviorals. A few examples:
– Tell me about a time you had to work with someone with a different viewpoint than you.
– Why MBA and why now?
– Outside of progressing in your career, why do you want to get an MBA?
– What attributes/experiences would you bring that would enhance the SOM community?
