Overview

Babson College emphasizes collaboration, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills at the core of their Online MBA curriculum. Students can begin the Babson College Online MBA program in September, January, or May. Students should expect to commit 9-15 hours per week for each course but can vary courseload depending on individual schedules. Typically, the Online MBA program takes three to four years to complete. 

Curriculum

The Online MBA program at Babson College requires 45 credits to graduate. Students complete 18 credits worth of core courses which include classes in Strategy, Business Analytics, and Finance. As part of the core curriculum, students work collaboratively with a company on a consulting project. Electives cover the remaining 27 credits, including classes in Leading Innovation, Negotiations, and Corporate Finance: Evaluating Opportunities. Students may choose to concentrate their elective studies in Entrepreneurship, Finance, or Marketing if desired.

Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid

The total cost of tuition for the program is $89,550 (45 credit hours times $1,990 per credit hour). Babson automatically considers its Part-Time Online MBA students for merit-based scholarships, judged on academic, professional, and personal merit. Additionally, Diversity Leadership Scholarships and Women’s Leadership Scholarships are available. Other scholarships are available for Canadian citizens, FUNED Scholars, Wellesley and Needham Town residents, and applicants that require need-based aid. US veterans may also be eligible for aid through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Students should apply for federal aid by completing the FAFSA form. Federal and private loans are accepted to cover the cost of tuition. 

Admissions

GMAT/GRE test scores are not required for admission to the Babson Online MBA program, but applicants may submit a score if desired. English proficiency test score requirements are waived for international applicants that have completed a previous degree in English, are a native English speaker, are a citizen of a country with English as the official language or have been working in the US consecutively for a minimum of two years at the time of application.
