Faculty

UF Warrington employs 132 faculty members across six departments: Accounting, Finance, ISOM, Management, Marketing, and Management Communication.

Warrington faculty members help lead the school’s 12 research centers, and they serve as thought leadership to academic, business and governmental organizations globally.

Curriculum

Warrington operates on a two-semester schedule per year, and modules divide each semester into two halves. The fall semester is broken down into Module 1 and Module 2. The spring semester is broken down into Module 3 and Module 4. The two-year full-time MBA requires 48 credits to graduate.

The program begins with orientation, which introduces new students to the key areas of the MBA. During the first year, students enroll in 12 required business classes and 3 electives. During the second year, students complete the remaining four business classes and select six elective courses. Students may tailor their elective choice around one of six concentrations: finance, human capital, marketing, strategy, supply chain, real estate, or business analytics.

Other MBA Degree Options

In addition to the 22-month full-time MBA program, UF Warrington offers a 12-month full-time MBA for all undergraduate majors and a 10-month full-time MBA for those who have bachelor’s degrees in business.

The Online MBA can be completed in a one-year (16-month) program or a two-year (24-month) program. The Online One-Year MBA program is an accelerated program for those who have an undergraduate degree in business and have graduated within the last seven years. The Online Two-Year MBA program is designed for students who earned their business degree more than seven years ago or are non-business degree holders.

The Executive MBA is a 21-month length program designed for students with a minimum of eight years of professional work experience combined with management and leadership experience.

The Weekend Professional MBA program can be completed in a one-year (16-month) program, a two-year (24-month) program, or a two-year (24-month) program in South Florida at the UF MBA Sunrise Center. The Weekend Professional MBA program is a weekend-based format designed to give student flexibility to balance work, school, and home life.

Combined degree options include a three-year JD/MBA program; M.D./MBA and PharmD/MBA over five years; MBA/MSRE (Masters of Science in Real Estate) and MBA/MS-ISOM (Masters of Science in Information Systems and Operations Management) over three years.

Campus Life

Student Clubs & Activities

UF Warrington hosts 39 business student organizations. This includes the two college councils, two honorary organizations, five service and leadership organizations, two mentorship organizations, 15 major/academic organizations, six multicultural organizations, and seven general business organizations.

Every MBA student receives $500 to use for professional development. All students also participate in a national career showcase. Professional development focuses on foundational business skills, including PowerPoint and Excel training, as well as Six Sigma and Lean Six Sigma training, storytelling, business improvisation, and Python business analysis use. There are also speaker series, corporate information sessions, networking socials, case competitions, as well as opportunities to engage in the University of Florida’s tailgate and sporting events.

Career Services

The Business Career Services team provides Warrington MBA students with a dedicated career coach with private sector experience for career development and career placement. The training and professional development team offers programming that enhances leadership and technical skills, while individual academic advisors counsel students on coursework that will help meet post-MBA professional goals. The program also offers a wellbeing and performance coach to help students optimize their experience in a healthy manner. Students can also participate in Career Weeks, networking events, professional development days, as well as virtual and in-person info sessions with top rated companies.

Career Statistics

The mean base annual salary of 2022 UF Warrington graduates was $117,197, with an average signing bonus of about $24,047. Of the 48 graduates of 2022, 40 were seeking employment. Roughly 93% had job offers by graduation and 95% had job offers within three months of graduation. Eighty percent had accepted job offers by graduation, and that jumped to 90% within three months of graduation.

Thirty-six students reported their industry and location choices post-MBA. Eight students joined CPG while seven went into healthcare followed by six that pursued financial services. Consulting and retail industries each took in four Warrington graduates.

Forty-two percent of graduates settled in the South region of the U.S. Sixteen percent headed to the Mid-Atlantic or Southwest U.S. while 13% settled in the Midwest. The remaining 13% split evenly across the West and Northeast.

UF offers financial aid for graduate students, including employment and loan programs. Graduate students should begin by applying for aid, FAFSA. Programs designed specifically for graduate students include: The Graduate Grant, Federal Subsidized and Unsubsidized Stafford Loans, Federal Direct Grad PLUS Loans, Most Employment programs. Alternative loans are available to students who are not eligible for financial aid or who need additional funds, beyond Grad PLUS loans, to meet educational expenses.
