We head to Nashville in this edition of our Real Humans: MBA Students series to meet some new members of the Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Business MBA Class of 2025.
Vanderbilt Owen welcomed 160 new students in the fall of 2023. A third of the new candidates are women and 29 percent are international, which includes foreign nationals, dual citizens and U.S. permanent residents. Nine percent of U.S. students identify as a U.S. minority.
During their undergraduate years, Owen MBAs earned a median 3.5 GPA. Their average GMAT score landed at 687 and the median at 690. The middle 80 percent of scores ranged from 640 to 730. For those who took the GRE, the average Quant and Verbal scores came in at 158 and 159, respectively.
Before matriculating at Vanderbilt, Owen MBAs earned an average of 5.6 years of work experience. Sixteen percent had served in the military. Forty-eight different employers are represented in the Class of 2025, with top companies represented being the U.S. Armed Forces, Amazon, Ernst & Young, Deloitte, Johnson & Johnson, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
