Some new members of the Dartmouth Tuck MBA Class of 2025 join us to discuss MBA admissions and student life in this edition of Real Humans: MBA Students.
297 students matriculated into the Tuck MBA program in the fall of 2023. Forty-four percent are women and 33 percent are international. Thirty-two percent of U.S. students identify as American Indian, African American, Asian American, Hispanic/Latinx, or Native Hawaiian. Thirteen percent of U.S. students identify as U.S. underrepresented minorities, which includes American Indian, African American, Hispanic/Latinx, or Native Hawaiian.
During their undergraduate years, Tuck MBA students had an average GPA of 3.49. Forty percent had majored in arts, humanities or social sciences. A quarter had pursued a STEM major and 28 percent earned degrees in business.
Prior to joining Tuck, students accumulated an average of 5.75 years of work experience. Twenty-two percent had worked in financial services followed by 17 percent in consulting. Sixteen percent hailed from non-profit/government roles and another 15 percent came from tech. Seven percent had worked in consumer products/retail before joining Tuck.
When it came time to take the GMAT, Tuck MBA students averaged a score of 726 with scores ranging from 640 to 800. For those who chose to take the GRE (42 percent), they averaged 161 in both the Quant and Verbal sections.
