We head to Baltimore, MD, for this edition of Real Humans: MBA Students to get to know what life is like at Johns Hopkins University. While all of the students featured in this piece are earning an MBA at the Carey Business School, some are also pursuing dual degrees.
The Carey Business School MBA Class of 2024 numbers 54 students. Fifty-four percent are women, which marks the third year running that Johns Hopkins Carey has had at least 50 percent women in the MBA class. Nineteen percent of domestic students identify as U.S. minorities. Sixty-two percent of the class are international, representing 19 countries.
During their undergraduate years, the Johns Hopkins Carey MBA Class of 2024 averaged a GPA of 3.41. Nearly 14 percent had majored in economics followed by 11 percent in business. Eight percent had pursued international/global studies. The same percentage, 5.4, studied psychology or public health.
The Johns Hopkins Carey MBA Class of 2024 matriculated in the fall with an average 5.1 years of work experience. The top five pre-MBA industries were healthcare, financial services, IT-consulting, government/military and professional services.
When it was time to take the GMAT, students landed an average score of 640.
