Episode 6: How to Demonstrate Fit

It is important to establish fit for the programs you are targeting. You want to show that the MBA program you are applying to makes great sense based on your personal and professional goals, your learning style, and the school’s additional resources. Ask yourself: What is the teaching style? Are there any clubs and additional activities that are especially appealing? Are you seeking a program in a busy urban center or in a more rural setting?

To learn about the programs you are targeting, you need to go beyond the content on the schools’ websites. If you can attend school-run events, that will help. If you can visit campus, that will also help, but the most valuable insights will often come from conversations with students and alumni of the programs you are targeting – many of whom are eager to discuss their alma mater.
