This and following page: photo documentation of the arrest of AWOL soldier Allen (possibly "Allan") Wafcowski, who had sought sanctuary at the First Church of Christ Esoteric, 10th Ave E and E Lynn Street, Seattle; the building is now (2024) the Bertschi School. According to the Seattle Daily Times, August 2, 1968, p.3 ("Draft Resisters Arrested") the arrest took place August 1, 1968. (There are several other variants of the name in various publications: the notes from the film Sir, No Sir [1] say "Allan Waskowski" and New Left Notes (August 19, 1968) [2] refers to him as "Sp/4 Allan Wafkowski".)
